NADL Dental Technology Forum Instructions

Login and Instructions for the New NADL Forum:

The new NADL Forum is open to NADL Members and NBC Certificants only. In order to sign onto the forum, you will need to know your NADL Member Number (from your NADL Member Card) or your NBC Certificant Number (from your NBC Certification Card).

Login into the New NADL Forum:   http://www.nadl.org/fusetalk/login.cfm

Username:

If you are an NADL Member, you will use the initials "NADL" and your NADL Member Number with no spaces or characters in between.

   NADL Member Example of Forum Username: NADL000001-00

Important Note:   You must capitalize "NADL" and include the "-00" at the end of your member number.

If you are an NBC Certificant (CDT, RG, Education Partner or Retired CDT), you will use the initials "NBC" and your NBC Certificant Number with no spaces or characters in between.

   NBC Certificant Example of Forum Username:     NBC000001-00

Important Note:     You must capitalize "NBC" and include the "-00" at the end of your certification number.

If you are both a member of NADL and hold an NBC Certification, you may use either username to sign onto the New NADL Forum.

Password:

You will use your Last Name as your password to sign onto the NADL Forum for both NADL Members and NBC Certificants.

Login to Forum:

Once your username and password is entered, click on LOGIN to enter the NADL Forums.

Using the NADL Forum:

Welcome to the NADL Forums! You are now ready to to post job openings and jobs wanted, ask technical questions and discuss general dental technology issues with your peers.

The New NADL Forum has three Discussion Categories currently set up with many threads posted under each category:

National Association of Dental Laboratories - General Discussion
This category includes Discussion Threads on HIPAA, DAMAS and Specialties - Ceramics, Crown & Bridge, Complete Dentures, Partial Dentures and Orthodontics.

Employment Opportunities - Jobs Available
This category is setup for laboratories and manufacturers to post current job openings. In order to help prospective employees find jobs by area, we have divided the Jobs Available Category into Location Threads based on U.S. Time Zones. Please post your job opening in the correct Location Thread so that prospective employees can find it.

Employment Wanted - Jobs Wanted
This category is setup for dental technology professionals looking for jobs and wishing to post a Job Wanted Ad. In order to help prospective employers view your job wanted posting by area, we have divided the Jobs Wanted Category into Location Threads based on U.S. Time Zones. Please post your job wanted ad in the correct Location Thread so that prospective employers can find it.

Important: Please post your job opening or job wanted ad in the corresponding Location Thread. Jobs posted as New Threads will be deleted from the System.

To Choose a Forum Category: click on the underlined name of the category you wish to participate in.

To Choose a Forum Thread within that Category: click on the underlined name of the thread you wish to participate in.

Once you are in a thread, you are now ready to post or reply to the current discussion.

To Post or Reply to a Thread Discussion: click on REPLY within the message (located at the bottom of each message). Type in your post or reply under Message Text and click on REPLY TO THREAD. Your post or reply instantly will appear at the bottom of that thread.

Subscribe to a Thread Discussion: If you wish for all messages posted to a thread to be emailed to you, you may Subscribe to a Thread. Within the thread that you wish to subscribe to, click on the SUBSCRIBE icon located within any message in that thread (the SUBSCRIBE icon is the first icon located in the top right corner of each message and looks like a piece of paper with an arrow through part of it). Click on SUBSCRIBE and the system will automatically pull your email address as listed in your record and forward all future postings from that thread to your email address.

Important: If you subscribe to a thread and then do not start receiving messages as they are posted to that thread, we may not have your Email Address correctly listed in our system. Please forward your complete name, NADL Member Number or NBC Certificant Number and Email Address to: webmaster@nadl.org. Your current email address will be added to the system and your thread subscription started.

To exit out of the current thread and view other threads or categories, use the BACK key on your browser. You may also click on HOME within the Forum to go back to the original list of Categories.

Logout of the Forum:

As an NADL Member and/or NBC Certificant, you are free to participate in as many of the Categories and Threads as you wish as often as you wish.

When you do get ready to leave the NADL Forums, you will need to logout of the system. To Logout of the NADL Forums, click on LOGOUT at the top of the screen. The system will ask "Are you sure you wish to Logout?" Click OK to Logout of the NADL Forum.

To return to the NADL Website, click on NADL Logo located at the top of the NADL Forum Logout Screen.
