CAPTEK/SIUC Scholarship Winner Announced

Lynnae Volzke has been awarded a $3,000 scholarship sponsored by Captek. Volzke is a sophomore at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the second year of the dental technology program. She has a 3.93 GPA at SIUC and assists in providing prosthetic restorations such as dentures, space maintainers, and crowns to patients in the SIUC Community Dental Center according to program director John R. Winings, an associate professor in the college of applied sciences and arts' school of allied health. CAPTEK made the financial gift to the Southern Illinois University Foundation to create a fund to be used for the benefit of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. This fund is being established by CAPTEK to help dental technology program students finance their educations and because the firm places high value on individuals who are graduates of the program.
