Optimized Crown and Bridge Material Selection and Cementation Procedures

Date: Oct 16th at 8:00 PM EST
Michael C. DiTolla, DDS, FAGD
Course Description: Two new high-strength all-ceramic restorative materials have been introduced to dentists in the last decade, and while they look to almost identical at times, these two classes of restorations must be treated differently when preparing to permanently cement these restorations. Dentists have experienced multiple bond failures with subsequent loss of crown when either the clinician or the dental assistant confuse the two types of crown materials.
After attending this webinar, viewers will:
Learn the difference between layered zirconia oxide and more advanced blended zirconia oxides.
Be familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of monolithic and bi-layered restorations, especially including indications, contraindications and prep design.
Be prepared to de-contaminate these restorations, select the correct primers, and determine the most appropriate cement.
Learn faster crown seating turnaround times
Become familiar with simplified cementation strategies.
This class demonstrates a novel method of adjusting crowns which leaves the crown in the mouth while making these adjustments
