Ivoclar Somerset awarded as the only company in the USA to receive the International Vocational Training Award
Ivoclar Somerset is proud to be the first and only company in the United States to receive the International Vocational Training Award certification from Great Place To Work Switzerland. This certification recognizes the Liechtenstein-based dental company’s excellence in cross-border vocational training. The Somerset, New Jersey site plays a key role in this achievement: since summer 2025, Ivoclar Somerset has welcomed its first apprentices, creating new career pathways for young people in the region. Promoting young talent is a global priority for Ivoclar, a company with more than 100 years of history headquartered in Liechtenstein, and this commitment is especially strong in Somerset, New Jersey. While vocational education has long been well established across Europe, similar models remain limited in many parts of the United States. Ivoclar Somerset recognized this opportunity and, in collaboration with the Head of Vocational Training in Liechtenstein and a local community college, developed a program that integrates hands-on company training with academic education. The establishment of this program was supported by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. And this is only the beginning. Ivoclar is currently evaluating additional apprenticeship opportunities at its U.S. locations, including Somerset, New Jersey, and Amherst, New York.

First-ever Dental Dedicated MRI Validated in Clinical Trial and Cleared by FDA for Advanced Soft Tissue Diagnostics
Dentsply Sirona and Siemens Healthineers are pleased to announce that the first ever dental dedicated MRI[1] (ddMRI) system – MAGNETOM Free.Max Dental Edition – has received FDA clearance in the United States. This milestone follows the completion of a clinical trial[2] validating the system’s significant potential across multiple dental specialties. The trial highlighted this first of its kind technology’s applicability in endodontics, periodontics, TMJ, tooth extraction, and orthodontics, offering non ionizing imaging capabilities that can enhance diagnosis and treatment planning. Clinical highlights from the trial demonstrated MAGNETOM Free.Max Dental Edition’s ability to differentiate active inflammation from healthy and scar tissue, enable non-invasive assessment of tooth pulp vitality to support chairside testing and observations and enables the visualization of teeth and their position in relation to neighboring teeth as well as the nerves. |

EXOCAD'S NEW PARTIALCAD 3.3 CHEMNITZ INTRODUCES A SPLIT DENTURE WORKFLOW
exocad announced the release of PartialCAD 3.3 Chemnitz, the latest version of its software for the design of high-quality removable partial dentures. The new split denture feature* allows dental professionals to design an implant-based suprastructure in DentalCAD and generate a precisely fitting underlying bar in PartialCAD with just a few clicks. A guided, automated workflow helps to accurately split an All-on-X design, while a manual mode allows for further customization. This new feature is geared toward PartialCAD users or those with no extensive experience with the exocad Bar Module and is suited to labs desiring high productivity through standardized designs and automated workflows. PartialCAD now supports split denture workflows, combining voxel-based, parametric design with robust geometry handling to support consistent processing and reliable manufacturing of complex cases. Split parameters can be saved and reused across future cases, enabling efficient workflows while preserving individual design preferences. Additional information is available at exocad.com/our-products/partialcad-chemnitz.

3Shape Boosts Dental Lab Speed and Accuracy with AI-Powered Workflows
At LMT LabDay, 3Shape showcased its AI-powered and integrated workflows that help dental labs work faster, reduce errors, and handle more cases efficiently. Scans from intraoral scanners can sometimes include missing or inaccurate bite data. To save them time and eliminate their need for manual adjustment of missing jaw relationship data, 3Shape Dental System 2025 has introduced AI-bite alignment. The AI bite alignment tool analyzes dental arches in the scans and places them in a static occlusion based on anatomical norms and its trained models. 3Shape Dental System 2025 also leverages AI for tooth outlining and margin line detection in its copy denture workflow. Dental System 2025 users can also take advantage of free AI-powered bridge design proposals to maximize their productivity and manage peak loads more effectively. 3Shape has updated its LMS software with an enhanced native integration with Dental System and 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanners and released a new version of 3Shape Implant Studio with simplified workflows for full-arch restorative planning. |

The Argen Corporation Releases ArgenZ® GT: Gradient Translucent Zirconia Combining Superior Strength with Natural Esthetics
Argen Corporation announced the launch of ArgenZ GT, a gradient translucent zirconia that offers laboratories a universal solution for all restoration types. Debuting at LMT® Lab Day Chicago, ArgenZ GT is built with Argen's patented Smart Gradient™ technology, eliminating the need to stock multiple zirconia materials. ArgenZ GT solves critical challenges that have prevented multi-material zirconia from becoming true universal solutions. The patented Smart Gradient™ technology eliminates visible transition lines that compromise esthetics while delivering a complete strength gradient: 1250 MPa in the gingival zone, 1250 MPa in the middle zone, over 1000 MPa in the transitional incisal zone, 850 MPa in the incisal zone. Lack of strength in the critical connector zones is where other gradient materials often fail. By maintaining 1250 MPa in the critical connector zones while achieving 45-50% translucency with seamless transitions and micro mamelon effects, ArgenZ GT addresses the longstanding tradeoff between strength and esthetics. ArgenZ GT will be available for order beginning May 15, 2026, in the fastest-moving SKUs and thicknesses. Dental laboratories can request a complimentary sample disc by visiting https://info.argen.com/argenzgt.
